CPPA COMMUNITY ENGAGEMENT
The community engagement programme (cep) is at the intersection of community building, skills learning, and the nurturing of mutual understanding and cooperation, creating spaces for shared growth and dialogue. We blend performing arts and reflective dialogue into a seamless, immersive experience. Participants learn, embody, and evolve — engaging not just physically, but intellectually and emotionally.
Where communities create, learn, and express themselves through art
Holistic community building through art: Integrates creative skill-building and emotional expression through accessible art forms to create shared spaces of trust, dialogue, and collective experience.
Inclusive, adaptable, and community-led design: Flexible, interdisciplinary model that adapts to diverse contexts and age groups while positioning communities as active co-creators.
Art as a catalyst for social cohesion: Moving from individual exploration to collective performance, the sessions foster mutual understanding, cooperation and empathy – positioning art as a practical tool for community building and sustainable social change.
In India, the community initiative has been successfully piloted, engaging over 100 young boys and girls across schools and urban slum communities, across West Bengal, Odisha and New Delhi.
Building on this momentum, the programme aims to expand across six cities in India (Delhi, Mumbai, Kolkata, Bhubaneshwar and Bengaluru), reaching more than 6000 young participants across 10 communities, strengthening cross-cultural learning and community engagement through the arts.
